I keep wishing upon an angel
To come and dry my never-ending tears,
To ease my heavy burden,
To help hasten through the years;
But all I’m met with is silence,
The coming and going of cars,
The occasional passerby
As I sit under a vast expanse of stars;
When will they see me, truly see me
For all that I am worth,
Like all living beings
There’s value I too
Can bring this earth
Dedicated with love to the homeless of America
